Kajol, who has a daughter named Nysa, 10, and a son named Yug, 3, takes parenting very seriously. “I feel that dealing with your kids can’t be planned and it varies in different situations. It is a skill that is acquired on the job.”
The actor admits that she is a strict mother and she makes sure her children are disciplined. “Yes ... I am a very strict mother. Ajay [Devgn] is the one who pampers the kids more. I am the one who has the responsibility of making sure that my kids are disciplined because I’m more of an ‘at home’ parent,” expresses Kajol, who is also the brand ambassador of a diaper brand. “I feel that it is essential for the kids to know that there are boundaries which they can’t cross.”
Kajol, who inherited the legacy of acting from her mother, yesteryear’s famous actor Tanuja Mukherjee, refused to comment when asked if her daughter shows interest in acting. “She [Nysa] is too young for that [acting]. When I discuss films with her, she tells me she does not know what she wants to be until she grows up.”
The actor plans a silver screen comeback with husband Devgn’s next production and says she is okay with taking up offers for television productions, provided she likes the offer. “I’ll only take up an offer that is really good,” she says.
