PABBI: Local stage actor and acid-attack victim Bushra was discharged from a hospital in Islamabad on Monday.

Shaukat - a Pashto drama producer - allegedly threw acid on Bushra on June 22 over a money row in Nowshera.

Bushra had reportedly worked with the accused in his drama project, however was not paid her due share. The alleged perpetrator got infuriated when Bushra asked for her payment and committed this crime for revenge.

The victim was discharged from the hospital after spending three months at the hospice. Her brother told The Express Tribune that even though her physical wounds have healed, she is hurt from the inside. He lamented how no one came forward to help her, adding that an NGO paid for her treatment.

The brother further blamed the police for failing to arrest the culprit.
