Measles outbreak: 3,192 in Faisalabad affected
37 measles patients from Faisalabad had died but there were no reports of casualties from Chiniot.
FAISALABAD:
As many as 3,192 people in Faisalabad division were reported to have contracted measles this year and 52 of them have died, a Health Department official told The Express Tribune on Monday. He said that 37 measles patients from Faisalabad had died but there were no reports of casualties from Chiniot. He said that 2,038 children from Faisalabad district had contracted measles, 482 from Toba Tek Singh district, 360 from Jhang district and 312 from Chiniot district. “11 measles patients in Jhang and 4 in Toba Tek Singh have died,” he said.
