While views were significantly divided, the survey identified that more respondents felt the ruling Assad regime was justified in the ongoing conflict in Syria, as compared to those who felt the Syrian rebels were justified.
Most respondents believed chemical weapons were used in the ongoing conflict.

This is extremely important news, since the opinion of online Pakistanis is the most important opinion in the entire world.
@p r sharma: Name any conflict in the past 100 years in between countries in which America is not involved.
@Milind: Dear Milind, p r sharma, I have to admit that your submissions are succinct. However, without wishing to sound unduly biased I do not quite get your respective points, or at least their relevance to the topic. Obviously the conflicts between the US and Korea, Panama, Granada, Nicaragua, to name a few, did not Include Muslim countries. There are, of course, at least a dozen other countries, which are Muslim, and the US has attacked, invaded and bombed them into submission, or mistreated them in some way. The latest victims are Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, with Iran in the potential firing line, and in every case the unfortunate countries had not caused any harm to the US who thought up false flag events in order to unjustly attack them. The point of the article is that 80% of Pakistanis are against airstrikes. I agree with the 80%, and do not agree with the lies emanating from Washington, UK, France and Tel Aviv.
@Sexton Blake: name any conflict between two countries in last five decades in which at least one Muslim country is not involved.
@Sexton Blake - The drivel here refers to the Wahabbi extreme version of Islam which is fearful of anything not conforming to its rigid, warped and narrow version of Islam... This view typically carries the weight of suffering of Muslims all over the world on its shoulders, but refuses to accept that any Muslim would do anything wrong... It has basically converted a local Israel-Palestine dispute (which is ideally a political one) into a full-fledged religious conflict, dragging all the unwilling & willing Muslim nations into it. The poison has now affected Muslim society as we see in the feuds between sects in Pakistan, Syria, Egypt etc. Hope this helps!!! ET - Pls publish.
@Milind: Dear Milind, Just what drivel are you referring to?
@Sexton Blake - Just as a small country in ME gives instructions to Washington a mid-size Arab country in ME seems to feed you and your establishment with drivel.
@Sexton Blake: BUT WAIT, just where is your evidence that "The so called Free Syrian Army, used chemical weapons"!!! Using the lame excuse "ET will not print my comment if I tell you too much" is a real joke!!!
@csmann: There are obviously many facts that are news to you. Name me one major conflict over the last fifty years in which the US has not been involved. Oh, I almost forgot. You are an anti conspiracy theorist who will support anything the Americans do, and then go into denial mode whenever they do something wrong. Incidentally, I was talking tongue-in-cheek about the clerics. As usual, I could not see any relevance in what you were saying.
@Sexton Blake: That is,indeed, news to me. That the clerics in Pakistan are asking the Ahmadis to be hounded and killed ,is somehow the responsibility of USA.This is,indeed, the mother of conspiracy theories.(you even beat yourself in that).
@csmann: You have got it right for a change. If there is any mischief going around the US is usually responsible. That is after the Washington people have received their instructions from a small country in the Middle-Eastern region.
@The collective: http://www.globalresearch.ca/ten-chemical-weapons-attacks-washington-doesnt-want-you-to-talk-about/5348230 this is reality. US has attacked 10 times with Chemical Weapons.
USA must also be responsible for this!!! http://tribune.com.pk/story/601720/second-amendment-anniversary-speakers-call-for-isolation-banishment-of-ahmadis/
@The collective: The so called Free Syrian Army, used chemical weapons, after being prodded to do so by America, in order that the US would have an excuse to ignore the UN "no fly zone". If I go into too much detail ET will not print it.
USA should sit and solve this issue with dialogue its more effective instead of WAR, it will effect half of the world econonmy. please stop this war games since MORE Than 20years on muslims countries.
@scotchpak: do you know how many your people are educated??
Well 60 % of the American people are against this..........but does that matter ?
Pakistanis: I dont know whose side im on but I know one.thing. im certainly not on americas side.
Actually why we pakistanis or maybe india or the rest of the world is against this because tomorrow same excuse can be made against us too for some reason or the other. You do.not interfere in others business. China too is a great power but doesnt interfere. Why is usa loathed by evryone and not china. Common sense indian trolls. If he is killing his people. Its not our problem. When did assad speak for the drone victims.
@Rana: BTW, would you also say that "who is Pakistan to interfere in Afghanistan's internal affairs"??? (OOPS, I forgot about "Strategic Depth"!!!)
@the collective So the argument is silly? I bet you were having a Big Mac and a large Coke when the US attacked Iraq on the wrong premise of WMD. If you can digest a Big Mac, you can digest anything, it seems.
USA is the most foolish nation in the world.Who is USA to interfere in Syria's internal affair whether Syria uses chemical weapons or kill each other in thousands
Overhead satellite footage of the attacks show the missiles coming from the mountain range base of Syria's Republic Guard, which is tightly controlled by Assad's. The Assad government, and it's military are responsible for this attack, so why are people still refusing to believe that the regime is behind the assault?
This poll maybe be manipulated by outsiders. The survey in itself was quite limited, because some of the answer to choose from were biased, mostly towards an anti-American stance. Clearly, something is not right about the outcome. Based on these results, the on-line Pakistani community on ET is more on the side of an Alawite dictator, who is from a sect most Muslims consider infidels, than on the side of the Sunni rebels/terrorists? Or is it that when Americans are in the picture somehow that becomes less important, because they at least resemble something of a Muslim, and it gives you the chance to blast Americans, the latter framed in some kind of larger conspiracy with the rebels? More than half do not believe that Assad is responsible for the chemical attacks, that is even stranger. Why would the insurgents use chemical weapons against themselves? So the rebels kill their own friends and family, hundreds of their own children for an unclear political purpose. That's the silliest argument I know. That's about the same as claiming that Christians a few weeks ago in Egypt burned their own 80 churches to make the Muslim Brotherhood look bad. If the rebels do posses the chemical weapons to launch this kind of attack, which all experts agree they don't, is it not better to shoot those missiles on government controlled areas in stead of neighbourhoods that were totally under the control of the opposition? Apart from the fact those weapons were launched from a regime controlled area. Assuming that this survey is not trolled by Indians, the Pakistani mind on ET seems really confused on the issue of Syria. Riding on anti-American sentiments is no excuse for turning a blind eye to reality.
This is so well done! We are not a people that does much rationalizing .......... so good that ET does surveys !
You will see, once USA backs out from attacking Syria,90% will accuse USA of doing nothing on Syria, and abondonment.
Yes the other 20% just pushed the wrong buttons. They thought they could read ignleese as well as the 80%
Media creates/ modifies the minds. So the online survey simply indicates the inclination of the local media . It is against USA without considering the fine line that the strike will be limited , just to punish and warn the Syrian regime to forbid use of nerve gas , Sarin on its own people(or rebels). If security council of ONO approves the strike will the opinion change?
i doubt the results of survey..a butcher and monster like assad needs to be overthrown n held accountable for crimes against humanity. Why is not ET reporting the brutal atrocities committed by the assad regime against innocent civilians?
so in short 20% of Pakistani internet traffic is SSP lashker e jhangvi fan :)
Online Pakistanis on Syria: Over 80% against US strikes, survey finds 100% are against drones attack in Pakistan, can we do anything? Stop having polls which can't get you through.
