3kg bomb defused near Lahore railway station

The unidentified man has been taken into custody.

LAHORE: A bomb - found near the Lahore railway station - was defused by the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) on Sunday, Express News reported.

According to police officials, security officers stopped a man over suspicion and found a bomb in his bag along with a remote control.

Police official Anjum Abbas said that the man carrying the bomb was taken into custody but has not been identified as yet.

The bomb reportedly weighed around 3 kilogrammes.
