MULTAN: Member National Assembly Jamshed Dasti has finally decided to join Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI).

Dasti, a staunch champion of the Seraiki province cause, has also demanded from PTI to work seriously for a separate province in south Punjab.

Talking to The Express Tribune, he said that he had personally convened the political processions of PTI in Jampur and DG Khan for supporting PTI along with supporting his brother against Noor Rabbani Khar.

He said that the policy of PTI against feudal lords will help him in uniting people of south Punjab for a Seraiki province.

Jamshed Dasti said he has also devised a plan to lead the region of south Punjab with policies of PTI for a new Seraiki province.

Dasti added that PTI is the only party that he believes will work without nepotism and sticking to status quo. He said he did not want any ministry or political office and his only demand is the empowerment of the people of his region.

He also shared that Imran khan has asked him to meet him in person for devising the new political and administrative strategy for the DG Khan division, Bahawalpur division and Multan division under supervision of Vice Chairman PTI Shah Mehmood Qureshi.

He told The Express Tribune that for poor people like himself, the only hope that remains in the political realm is PTI.

In popular democracy its not about the education of a candidate if a person is liked by people and voted then he/she has right to be an Member of Parliament. What is so wrong if Dasti do not have a degree it might be that his circumstances did not allowed him to have education. He is not a feudal lord to study in West and then come to rule Pakistan. He is the people choice and must deserve respect like any other so called degree holders. We should not judge people by education he is in politics and winning against the powerful likes of Khar's so a big achievement for a common man to stand up against feudal and win elections. so please forgive Dasti for his fake or other wise no degree.

@NYR: Good reply. ET is just running on rumors these days, anything to generate public interest.

BTW, the Dasti guy has his own website? Kudos! this guy can get very popular if he can make amends for his past misdeeds.
