OICC: CDA offers capital as next meeting venue

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has offered the Organisation of Islamic Capitals and Cities (OICC) to hold the next meeting of its administrative council in Islamabad, according to a CDA press release.


CDA Chairman Nadeem Hassan Asif extended the offer to OICC General Secretary Omar Abdullah Qadhi during a meeting in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. Asif is currently on a visit to Saudi Arabia to attend the 11th OICC International Scientific Symposium.


The three-day symposium was attended by mayors of capitals and cities of various Islamic countries.


Qadhi appreciated the offer and said the details for the meeting would be finalised soon and consideration would be given to holding the meeting it in Islamabad in 2014. Asif and Qadhi discussed other areas of cooperation and shared civic problems faced by various OICC member countries during the meeting.
