KARACHI: The traffic police is launching a campaign from September 15 against illegal vehicles to ensure strict adherence to the traffic laws, including but not limited to registration documents, registration plates, tinted glasses and unauthorised use of revolving light. All private, commercial, and government motorcycles will be checked for compliance with the legal requirements. The campaign will be carried out even-handedly without any discrimination of rank, designation or status. Furthermore, a heavy fine would be charged to those who fail to meet the legal requirements and in some cases vehicles would be confiscated.
