Peshawar terror: Blast targets Afghan diplomat

Unknown people left a small homemade device outside the gate of the residence of first secretary, Haji Meraj Khan.

PESHAWAR: The main gate of the house of an official of the Afghan commission was damaged in a low intensity bomb blast on Jamaluddin Afghani Road, University Town on Monday night. Unknown people left a small homemade device of just 400 grams outside the main gate of the residence of first secretary, Haji Meraj Khan, which went off with a loud explosion. No loss of life was reported in the incident. “We have been told that the man works in the Afghan commission and his house was the target,” said an official of the local police station.
