Self-immolation: Woman sets herself on fire ‘after argument with in-laws’
In another incident, a woman in a Gujrat village died after she apparently set herself on fire on Monday following an argument with her in-laws, police said.
Police said Parveen Bibi, 25, a mother of three, had frequent quarrels with her in-laws.
Her in-laws told police that she had locked herself in her room following a recent argument. She then threw petrol on her body and set her self on fire.
They said they took her to a hospital, but she did not survive.
Police said a case had been registered against the in-laws on the compliant of her parents. The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination.
No one has been arrested so far.
