Saad Ali’s splendid century and a six-wicket haul from Fawad Khan helped Alamgir Gymkhana to a six-wicket win against Landhi Friends in their semi-final of the RLCA Two-day Cricket Tournament yesterday.
Alamgir Gymkhana will now face the winner of the other semi-final that will feature Pakistan CC and Nazimabad Gymkhana. Set a target of 237, Alamgir Gymkhana struggled initially as they lost three wickets quickly but Saad scored an unbeaten 100 as they finished at 239 for four in 45.3 overs. On day one, Landhi Friends were bowled out for 236 in 63.2 overs as Hassan Sajjad top-scored with 88. However, Fawad bowled well to restrict them while Sheraz Hussain got two wickets.
