
Luis Suarez is in line to make his return from a 10-match ban in Liverpool’s League Cup third-round tie against arch-rivals Manchester United following Wednesday’s draw.
The 26-year-old has been pressing for a move away from Anfield, with Arsenal interested in signing the Uruguay forward.
But should the striker remain at Anfield, his first match back after biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic last season will be at Old Trafford against United.
Manchester City were handed a tie against Wigan at home while Arsenal will make a trip to West Brom. Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea will play Swindon while Tottenham Hotspurs were given a tough tie against Aston Villa at the Villa Park.
The ties will be played from September 24-25.
