Bank heist: Rs8.8 million looted

TAXILA: Five armed robbers looted Rs8.8 million in broad daylight from a bank branch in a commercial centre of Taxila on Wednesday. According to the local police, the robbers broke into the bank branch on Hattar Road near Heavy Mechanical Complex and made away with the cash after holding the guards and bank staff hostage at gunpoint. They also took the bank’s CCTV camera with them.
