MANDI BAHAUDDIN:

A woman, her daughter and son-in-law were shot dead on Monday by the woman’s brother, Kathyala Shaikhan police said. The assailant was arrested.

Police said Muhammad Afzal’s niece, a resident of Khumb Khurd, had married Muhammad Qaiser a few weeks ago without the consent of her family. They said she had, however, reconciled with her mother.

On Monday, police said, Afzal was informed that her niece was visiting her parents. He rushed to his sister’s house, where he shot and killed them on the spot. He was arrested while trying to flee. Police said he had confessed to the killings.
