Akbar Bugti death anniversary: Shutter-down strike in Balochistan

Business centres and public transport are closed in Quetta and other areas of Balochistan.

BALOCHISTAN: A shutter-down strike is being observed in Balochistan to commemorate the 7th  death anniversary of veteran Baloch nationalist leader and former chief minister Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti, Express News reported on Monday.

The Jamhoori Watan Party (JWP) called for the strike and Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N), Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Kakar Jamhoori Party, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), Jaamat-e-Islami (JI) and the Sunni Jamaat announced their support.

Baloch Republican Party (BRP), Baloch National Movement (BNM), Baloch Students Organisation-Azad (BSO Azad), Baloch National Front (BNF), Balochistan National Party (BNP) and the National Party are also supporting the strike.

Business centres and public transport are shut in Quetta as well as in Noshki, Mustang, Kalat, Kharan, Khuzdar, Hub, Turbat, Panjgur, Chaghi, Dalbandin and other areas.

What are they celebrating ? They should be resolving to work harder than ever to achieve their goals.
