The Capital Development Authority (CDA) will renew efforts to control the incidence of pollen allergy among residents of the federal capital.
At a recent meeting at CDA Headquarters, it was also decided that the Authority’s Health Services Directorate, in collaboration with the city’s hospitals, would devise a joint strategy to control pollen allergy-related problems during the upcoming season.
The directorate will also establish pollen allergy centres with collaboration from public and private hospitals to provide necessary treatment to patients.
The director of health services has also been ordered to take effective measures against pollen allergy in the city.
During the spring season, a public awareness campaign will also be launched during which leaflets and brochures containing details of symptoms, preventive measures and treatment guidelines would be distributed among the public.
Similarly, digital screens fixed at various locations in the federal capital would also be used to display awareness messages.
