PCB announces budget for 2013-14

BoG appoint officials to vacant seats in Finance and Audit Committees.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) budget for the year 2013-14 was approved by the Board of Governers (BoG) during the 28th meeting of the governing board at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore yesterday.


Caretaker PCB Chairman Najam Sethi presided over the meeting while others included Shakil Ahmed Shaikh, Muhammad Rafiq Bughio, Qaisar Khan Jamali, Masood Anwar Hamid, Muhammad Haroon Rasheed, Muhammad Iqbal Qasim and Commodore (retd) Mirza Arshad Hussain. Dr Jawad Sajid Khan, Wajahat Ullah Wasti, Subhan Ahmad – the PCB chief operating officer – and Badar Khan, who is the board’s chief financial officer, were also present. Imtiaz Ahmad was not present due to personal commitments.

Seats in the Finance and Audit Committees had fallen vacant due to the exit of some BoG members. Haroon Rashid being appointed the head while Jawad Sajid Khan was made a member and the chief financial officer was also made secretary of the Finance Committee.Commodore (retd) Mirza Arshad Hussain was made head of the Audit Committee whereas Qaisar Jamali will be a member.

The board was also updated on the sale of media rights for the upcoming Pakistan home series against South Africa and Sri Lanka.
