Monitoring Floods: Prime minister to arrive in Sindh today

Prime minister would initially arrive at Gadani where he is to preside over a meeting over energy sector.

KARACHI: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is due to visit flood affected areas of Sindh today (Saturday).

According to official sources, the prime minister would initially arrive at Gadani where he is to preside over a meeting over energy sector.

Later, he would fly to Sukkur in order to be briefed over the flood situation.

“During his visit, the prime minister may take an aerial view of the flood affected areas especially the Katcha area,” official sources said.

On the other hand, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has directed the officials of the irrigation department to prepare a briefing to be given to prime minister and ensure their presence over there.
