Lawlessness continues: Two doctors among five killed in the city

KARACHI:


Two doctors and a political worker were among five people killed in separate acts of violence on Thursday.


A doctor, identified as Nizam Taj, 45, was shot dead on KDA Road near New Sabzi Mandi. The incident occurred when two armed men intercepted his vehicle and opened fire at him, killing him on the spot.

A general physician was shot dead in C-1 Area, Liaquatabad within the limits of Super Market police station. The deceased was identified as Ghazanfar Ali Abbas, 47, son of Ali Akbar, and belonged to the Shia community.

Separately, a worker of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, Fareed Khan, alias, Kana, 32, son of Usman Buksh  was found dead from Nishter Road. Meanwhile, the bodies of two young men were found from Bandhani Colony, Liaquatabad. The victims were later identified as Tahir Brohi, 22, and Ahmed Ali, 21.
