Child rape: Witnesses summoned

LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge on Wednesday summoned witnesses for September 3 in the trial of a swing operator accused of raping a four year old. The judge also directed the accused to hire counsel by the next date. Khurram Humayun submitted that his daughter had left home to play on September 11, 2012. He said when they started looking for her, he went to a ground nearby and saw Nazar Muhammad, who operated a swing there, raping his daughter. Residents of the colony then got together and beat up Nazar Muhammad, before he was handed over to the Shahdara Town police.
