LAHORE: Rain continues for a fifth day in Lahore and neighbouring areas, leaving two dead and at least 10 injured, Express News reported.

Two children were killed and eight people were injured when roofs collapsed in houses on Kacha Kamahan road and Bedian road.

The children were identified as 5-year old Salman and 7-year old Liaquat.

A 10-year old boy also reportedly drowned in River Ravi but his body has not been found.

Rainwater has made its way into houses and caused several roofs to collapse and caused other damages. According to weather forecasts, it is predicted that rain will continue for two more days.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif arrived in Lahore to show his support and after being informed about the damages, he sent out rescue teams to affected areas.

The height of water in Tarbela dam is 1549 feet, leaving only one foot space before the dam overflows. Mangla dam is reportedly at 1224 feet.

The above photo demonstrates the unbridgeable gap between the poor and rich. The one drowned in poverty and the other in their greed.
