LAKKI MARWAT/ DI KHAN:

The government of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) will soon collapse, claimed Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Saturday, adding his party has made an alliance with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) because they have the same  ideology.

Addressing a public gathering at Menakhel House in Lakki Marwat on Saturday, Fazl said his party is struggling for the rights of workers and the Muslim Ummah (community). “We wish to increase development work in backward areas like Lakki Marwat and will extend our support to the federal government in order to achieve this,” he said, adding they would continue to work together as long as the PML-N “is on the right track”.

Fazl was speaking at an election campaign for his brother Maulana Attaur Rehman, who will be running from NA-27 Lakki Marwat.

Speaking about the problems plaguing K-P, he said conditions are getting worse every day and pledged his party will work for the betterment of democracy.  “We have never wanted to get into power, but this may be the wish of others,” he claimed.

In another address in DI Khan the same day, Fazl alleged the K-P government will fall apart soon and claimed incidents such as the DI Khan jailbreak are bound to happen if ‘incompetent’ people are given control of the province.

He further accused Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan of changing his statements on the DI Khan jailbreak after meeting US Secretary of State John Kerry.

PkMAP puts weight behind ANP

Meanwhile in Peshawar, Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) said it would support the Awami National Party (ANP) in the by-elections and has asked party activists to campaign for tri-party candidates (ANP, JUI-F and PPP) in K-P.

PkMAP Provincial Secretary Mujeebur Rehman made the announcement after meeting the ANP leadership at their provincial secretariat Bacha Khan Markaz on Saturday.

A year back they had the same ideology as PPP. 6-7 Years back, they had the same ideology as Musharraf. I guess, if Imran invites him to be any ally with a few plump ministries, he would for sure have the same ideology as Imran and PTI.
