PESHAWAR:

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activists have formed an intra-party accountability committee to help remove differences within the party.

Addressing a press conference at the Peshawar Press Club on Saturday, the committee’s chairman Zahir Shah said they will put forward suggestions to the party’s central leadership for ways to improve performance.

Shah added they fully support PTI’s candidate for NA-1, Gul Bacha, for the by-polls but want to resolve differences among disgruntled workers through this committee. “There is a need to give the rightful place to those workers who served the party earnestly and deserved a better position but were ignored.”

When asked whether the committee has the gotten the approval of the central leadership of PTI, Shah responded vaguely with “every good work is supported by the party.”
