Students of Bajaur Public School and College (BPSC) showed remarkable performance in the recent intermediate examinations, with two students securing first position in the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE), Malakand.
After congratulating the students, BPSC’s Principal Mohammad Sultan Khan told reporters all 73 students who appeared in the exams scored either A* or A grades, while 11 students from the school obtained the top 20 positions.
Kamran Saeed and Mirajudin both attained first position by scoring 965 marks each, said Khan, adding Asghar Ali, Mohibullah, Imranullah, Asghar Khan and Mohammad Sadid achieved second, third, fifth, eighth and ninth positions, respectively.
Khan said securing the first, second and third position was an outstanding achievement for the institution and the entire agency because this has never happened in the history of Bajaur before. “I am proud of my students’ achievement and I hope it will encourage the trend of education in the agency, which has suffered greatly due to militancy.”
Khan added Khyber-Pakhunkhwa Governor Shaukatullah Khan also lauded the performance of the school and its students. “The governor sent a message of congratulations and invited the high achievers to the Governor House for a prize distribution ceremony.”
