Seven people were injured when unidentified attackers hurled a hand grenade at an Afghan restaurant in Board Bazaar on Tuesday night.
Police said the incident occurred around 10pm and left seven employees wounded. The injured were rushed to Khyber Teaching Hospital (KTH) and Hayatabad Medical Complex (HMC).
Police believed that it was not an act of terrorism, and was probably an outcome of personal enmity. “We have information that the owner of the restaurant had a marriage dispute and we are investigating it,” said a Town police official.
Some of the injured have been identified as Inayatullah, Asif Shah, Shaifullah and Habibullah. All victims are said to be out of danger now.
There were reports of other hand grenade attacks on Tuesday night, with one hurled at a Jamaat Khana in Karachi which killed two people and injured another 29.
