Punjab government announces free Metro Bus service on August 14

Security arrangements will be made accordingly to manage the influx of passengers.

LAHORE: The Punjab Government has announced that the Metro Bus service will be free for all on Aug 14 to celebrate Independence Day, Express News reported on Monday.

Security arrangements will be made accordingly to manage the influx of passengers.

The first Metro Bus service began on February 10 and was free of charge for passengers initially.

Fares were introduced on February 14 due to the difficulty of managing long queues and overcrowding.
