Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Caretaker Chairman Najam Sethi has assured ailing Hanif Mohammad that the board is ready to help him if need arises.

Hanif successfully underwent an operation for liver cancer in the UK which was diagnosed at an early stage.

Sethi sent a ‘get well soon’ message to the legendary batsman and in his letter, wrote, “I am delighted to know you are on the road to recovery and are coping bravely with your ordeal.

“I remain concerned about your well-being and wish you a speedy recovery so that you can return to your fans back home as quickly as possible,” stated the letter.

After reporting that many well known cricketers had sent get well soon messages and Sunil Gavaskar even phoning Hanif Sahib, the PCB decides to wake up and send him a 'get well soon' letter. Pakistanis still have a lot to learn. Salams
