Celebrating independence: Siddiqui reviews preparations for Aug 14

Commissioner has requested for citizens’ cooperation to celebrate Independence Day.

KARACHI: Commissioner Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui has requested for citizens’ cooperation to celebrate Independence Day in the most befitting manner on August 14. He made these remarks during a meeting held to review arrangements forIndependence Day celebrations on Monday. The main ceremony will be held in the premises of Quaid-e-Azam’s mausoleum. There will be a ‘flag hoisting ceremony,’ which will be attended by not only VIPs but also by citizens from all walks of life, he said.
