Mastermind behind attack: Court extends Billah’s remand

ATC extended the physical custody of the alleged mastermind of the attack on Justice till August 12.

KARACHI: An Anti-terrorism Court extended the physical custody remand of the alleged mastermind of the attack on Justice Maqbool Baqar till August 12. The suspect, Abu Bakar alias Masoom Billah, is the  chief of the ‘death squad’ of the banned outfit, Lashkar-e-Jhangvi. Billah, one of the masterminds behind the attack on Justice Baqar, was sent to police custody remand till August 3 for the murder of lawyer, Kauser Saqlain and his two children. When the police arrested Billah, they learned that he not only masterminded the attack on the judge but was, in fact, behind the targeted killing of a lawyer as well.
