The sale of national flags, colourful buntings, banners and pictures of national heroes has witnessed a sharp increase as Independence Day nears.
People all over the country celebrate the day with passion and zeal on August 14.
Shopkeepers have set up stalls at almost every small and big market in the city, especially G-9 markaz, Aabpara, F-10, I-10, Jinnah and Super Markets where people, especially children, buy patriotic badges and other accessories.
The most enthusiasm can be seen in children who are busy collecting stickers, badges and also beautifying their bicycles with special stickers inscribed with messages of Independence Day.
