A search operation was carried out during the day and 30 teams comprised of navy and police officials were put to the task of ensuring security.
Commandos were deployed near the Margalla Hills.
A day earlier, security at the Benazir International Airport in Islamabad was beefed after receiving intelligence of a possible terrorist attack.
Intelligence agencies had warned law enforcement and airport authorities that Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) was planning to carry out attacks on the Islamabad airport and the PAF Chaklala air base.
Security officials said that there has been a security threat at the airport for a few days.

its very crude to expect police to be in gears n you analyzing the police dept based on some random picture posted by ET. In countries like UK n across EU, police is not allowed to carry weapons. They do not run around with bullet proof gears.

I fail to understand why cant we do pre-emptive strike on Taliban hideouts instead of guarding Margallas & waiting for anti-Pakistan Taliban to attack Islamabad?Taliban dont come from Mars where our security agencies cant reach,I believe Waziristan is still part of Pakistan & Govt of Pakistan should wrest control of its territory.

Looking at the security contingent here,it should be no wonder why DI khan jail break happened so easily. Would somebody fault these poor policemen if they get out of the way of Taliban in case of an attack.How would they fight AK-47s,rocket-propelled grenades and other sophisticated weaponry with sticks in their hands.And this is the condition right in the capital city,what kind of weapons the police force carry in other parts of Pakistan can easily be imagined.
@Khurram Awan: If I say its a Welcome Squad then you will say, where are flowers. In Islamabad, authorities have adopted a different strategy. In D.I. Khan, security guys had guns but did not fight, perhaps Taliban took their guns too. This a smart move to save resources.
It is interesting that all knows the Epicenter of these attacks. Instead attacking the epicenter(north waziristan) they are deploying security guard in Islam abad ,GHQ and core commanders houses. The KP PTI(The great people ) is Right to say there are Rogue elements in security agencies and even Every party knows it PPP ANP and Even ET but they Never opened their mouth Even I wrote many time in comment but ET didn't gave it place to it. Are All of Pakistan (government ,Agencies, parliaments, institution Media and peoples fearing from those Rogue elements of Security Agencies?

TTP is an organization consisting of cowered people who instead of attacking from the front always try to stab the government and people of Pakistan from the back.

Just look at the above picture and you can assess the grave situation of our lack of preparation in case of any attack. Half of the eight policemen pictured above have sticks in their hand rather than Guns and they dont have any Bullet Proof and Blast proof vests/ Bomb Shields while manning one of the main roads in Islamabad. Also I could not see any Wireless Sets for Communications and for protection we could not see any Armored vehicles, bikes or anything.
How dare you to terror threat to a terrorist country.
