LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge has sought comments from the Ghaziabad SHO by August 3 on a petition filed by a woman against her husband and his aunt for allegedly attempting to force her into prostitution. The petitioner submitted on Saturday that she had married her husband on July 7, 2010. Shortly after, she said, he had disappeared without telling her where he was going. She later learnt that he had gone to Dubai. She said that her husband’s aunt had then tried to force her to work as a prostitute, threatening to lodge a false case against her if she didn’t agree. She said that she had refused and gone back to her parents’ home. On July 25, she said, her husband had come on a visit to Pakistan and tried to get her to return to his house and to work as a prostitute. She said that he had threatened to kill her if she did not do so. She asked the court to direct the SHO to register a case against him and his aunt.
