He said the service had rescued 2,002,025 people emergency in 1,835,020 operations since its inception in October, 2004. He said the average response time had been less than 7 minutes. He said Rescue 1122 had responded to 707,820 traffic accidents, 871,401 medical emergencies, 46,739 fire incidents, 3,980 building collapse incidents, 759 explosions, 70,076 crime calls, 4,207 drowning calls and 130,038 miscellaneous cases. Naseer said Rescue 1122 had faced several challenges during this period but had established an effective system of emergency care, modern fire service, water rescue teams, disaster response team and animal rescue teams.
