Water treatment: Two plants at Ravi to cost Rs486m

Rs261 million has been earmarked for the construction of a wastewater treatment plant.

LAHORE: The Lahore Development Authority and the Water and Sanitation Agency will conduct feasibility studies for the construction of wastewater treatment plants costing Rs486 million at two sites on the River Ravi during fiscal year 2013-14.

According the sources in the LDA and Wasa, Rs261 million has been earmarked for the construction of a wastewater treatment plant at Mahmood Booti-Salamatpura and Rs225 million for a plant at Babu Sabu site.
