KARACHI:

The Sindh High Court (SHC) issued on Wednesday notices to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) executive director for allegedly harassing the subordinate nursing staff at the health facility.

Rohail Ali Jamali and Syed Abul Jafri had taken JPMC executive director Dr Tanseem Ahsan, joint executive director Dr Seemin Jamali and deputy director Dr Yasmin Iqbal among others to the court.

The petitioners, who are currently working as nursing attendants and in-charge nurse, claimed that Dr Ahsan and Dr Jamali have been harassing the subordinate staff to take revenge. The two doctors were recently reinstated to their posts by the high court, which had suspended a government notification to remove them on June 13.

They claimed their salaries have been stopped and money has been deducted from their salaries for casual leaves, which they insisted is illegal.
