Economic relations: Pakistan invites Qatar to enhance ties

Pakistan requires support of brotherly country “Qatar” for meeting the energy scarcity, says Sadiq.

ISLAMABAD: Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq urged the investors of Qatar to take advantage of upcoming business opportunities in Pakistan and invest in various sectors especially the energy and manufacturing sectors. Talking to Qatar’s ambassador Sayyar Moawada, Sadiq said that Pakistan cherishes its historic brotherly relations with Qatar and wants them to be taken up to new heights through parliamentary cooperation between legislatures of both countries. The speaker said that parliamentary diplomacy was an excellent way of bringing the two nations closer which were already tied in eternal religious and historic bonds. He said that Pak-Qatar friendship group in National Assembly of Pakistan will be activated soon. He said that Pakistan requires support of brotherly country “Qatar” for meeting the energy scarcity. Moawada thanked the speaker for his remarks and said that Qatar attaches immense importance to its brotherly relations with Pakistan. He said that the incumbent Qatari leadership is keen to further enhance ties with Pakistan.
