Musharraf was produced for the hearing headed by ATC judge Chaudhry Habibur Rahman. The court ruled that Musharraf would be indicted in a week's time. The court also ordered that Musharraf should be present at the next hearing.
While submitting the request for restoration of assets, Musharraf's advocate Ilyas Siddiqui said that the assets of a proclaimed offender cannot be seized if he presents himself before the court within two years.
The court, after hearing these arguments, ordered the release of the applicant’s assets and bank accounts.
Musharraf had been named in the Benazir Bhutto murder case by the ATC in 2011, and he was later declared a proclaimed offender.
