Senseless Murder: Man kills wife over dispute

HAZRO: A man shot dead his wife on Monday morning after a clash over a family issue in Qaziabad area of Hazro. According to the police, Muhammad Yaqoob allegedly killed his wife at his house in the presence of his son and in-laws and later fled along with the murder weapon. Anwar Bibi lodged a complaint with the local police that her son-in-law, Yaqoob, had a quarrel with his wife after which she went to her daughter’s house with her son Muhammad Ejaz. When they reached Yaqoob’s house, he got annoyed over their presence, pulled out his pistol and shot his wife dead. The deceased was taken to District Headquarters Hospital where she was pronounced dead. The police registered a case against Yaqoob and are searching for him.
