Unabated militancy: Grenades hurled at police van, four hurt

Four policemen were injured in the attack, including an ASI.

PESHAWAR: At least four policemen were injured in a grenade attack by militants on a police van in the in Hashtnagari area on Sunday. According to the police, some unknown militants attacked a police mobile near Superior Science College for Boys, Nishtarabad Bridge in Hashtnagari, hurling several grenades at them. Four policemen were injured in the attack, including an ASI, and were rushed to the Lady Reading Hospital for medical treatment. The on-duty doctor said the policemen were slightly injured and were immediately treated and out of danger. Soon after the blast, security forces rushed to the site and cordoned off the area and began a search operation in the surrounding areas.
