“Doctors and health department workers should ensure that the people get children vaccinated against measles and other life threatening diseases,” DCO Abrar Ahmed said on Sunday.

He was speaking during a surprise visit to inspect an operation theatre, the OPD, wards, the pharmacy and the EPI programme counter at the Wan Bachcharan rural health centre.

The DCO directed the health centre staff to maintain cleanliness. He said social mobilisation mechanisms should be used to educate the people about ways to protect themselves from fatal diseases.

The DCO directed Dr Raheela Tariq to take special care of women patients. He visited the OPD and met the 66 patients there.
