Pakistan player Tayyab Aslam believes his experience at the recently-concluded World Junior Individual Championship would help his preparations for next year’s title bid.
Tayyab and compatriot Ali Bokhari were knocked out in the last-16 phase, crashing all expectations of Pakistan winning the title.
However, Tayyab, who has another year left in the U19 category, is confident his chances have improved after gaining valuable experience at the mega event.
“I’ve started preparing for next year already since I want to win the junior title in my last year,” Tayyab told The Express Tribune.
“I’ll work as hard as top players do because for them, an end of any competition means starting preparations for the next event.”
