Academic uplift SALU VC hosts iftar to honour MNA

During a short span of nine months of her tenure, Dr Parveen was able to bring significant developments.

The Shah Abdul Latif University (Salu) Khairpur’s vice-chancellor Professor Dr Parveen Shah hosted an iftar dinner in the honour of MNA Dr Syeda Nafisa Shah Jillani, deans, chairmen, teachers and faculty of the university at the foreign faculty guest house.


The vice-chancellor briefed Dr Nafisa about the academic and research development at the university. During a short span of nine months of her tenure, Dr Parveen was able to bring significant developments, the MNA was told. She informed the MNA of the establishment of the Institute of Gender Studies, the introduction of a centralised admission process to save money and time, and the Directorate of Post Graduate Studies to embark on research and produce highly qualified MS/MPhil and PhD scholars. The first-ever alumni association and Students Advancement Fund Endowment have also been established.

Speaking as a chief guest, MNA Dr Shah appreciated the efforts of Professor Dr Shah for the academic uplift of the institution.

This seems to be a mere buttering exercise of the VC, who has to retain her job by keeping the Chief Minister's daughter happy. Unfortunately, cronyism & nepotism is still ruling the roost in Sindh!

Dr. Parveen, my question is what measures have been taken so far to restrict the issuance of fake degrees?
