The suicide bomber was making his way towards the neighbourhood Imam Bargah when the locals noticed his suspicious behavior, and one of them shot at him. The bomber was hit in the head and killed on the spot.
According to eye witnesses, security officials were not near the scene when the alleged bomber tried to enter the area on his cycle.
An inspection of the body later revealed that the suspect was wearing a suicide vest with ball bearings and carried a grenade.
The locals of the area have formed an unofficial security force that looks out for the neighbourhood along with official security forces in light of the ongoing sectarian killings that have spread through the area, Express News correspondent Arif Mehmood reported.
The bomber's body has been shifted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH).
Residents reported that the area had previously seen a number of deadly suicide attacks in recent years with heavy casualties.

@Humayun: Was attacker wearing a licensed bomb or have a legit grenade....People like you who try to find excuses are also accomplice in this heinous, barbaric and inhuman act. A wrong can never be right, so stop looking to find lame right in wrong doings! Had Hazaras been reacting and killing so called molvis; then the reaction would have been concurrent with the amount of dead bodies they have to buried so far. Perpetrators should get an idea what kind of reaction would there be with that kind of precision.

Well done Brave brothers, when state fails to protect its people especially the minorities with their basic rights then that is the most obvious and human way to protect yourself. Everyone knows except those who always keep their eyes close just because they themselves are in some how i.e directly or indirectly involved in that kind of inhumane and sectarian attacks, who are involved in that kind of attacks.

Such silly comments. Having lived in Quetta for 8 years, I know Hazaras are onr of the most peaceful, docile and disciplined people. If you call the Lashkar e Jhangvi and similar Ulemas and molvis you are living in a fool's paradise.

Time will come when the people will take up Arms to protect their communities, as its quite obvious that the security forces are simply out of their depth or are very conveniently not in the area. Rest assure this is a very bad sign for any Nation ! It reminds me of Somalia in mid nineties, also Bosnia and having observed the ethnic cleansing as an observer with limited powers, Pakistan is heading in that direction with daily occurrences against the minorities and they will rise up and take to arms too ! Such a sad state of affairs for a nation that claims to be Nuclear, yet can not even provide basic electricity 24/7 to its people !

We demand complete investigation of this incident. people do not trust our security forces and think that they are complicit in all that. we now have his body and search the other one who escaped from there which could be very effective for further investigation. tough action should be taken against those who are resposible for that and also investigate the security lapse and see if black ships are involved which the local people think of..
Bombers remains sent to CMH, but when suicide attacks are successful, the cantonment shuts down and the victims cant get into it.
