LOS ANGELES: Teen sensation Justin Bieber's grandmother Diane Dale feels that people should not be hard on her grandson as he is too young for all the criticism.

The 19-year-old singer's rowdy behaviour, party habits and constant run-ins with the law have brought him a lot of negative publicity. But Dale feels that people should mind their own manners before pointing a finger at her grandson, reports dailymail.co.uk.

"It's totally crazy. I feel sorry for Justin all the time because paparazzi pick on him all the time. Anybody else's kids have done the same thing but nobody says anything," Dale said.

"He's just a 19-year-old boy. And before you criticise him, say, what is my 19-year-old boy doing," she added.

Recently Bieber's mother Pattie Mallette requested journalists to refrain from asking about the singer at the launch of her new book "Nowhere but Up: The Story of Justin Bieber's Mom".

@wajid, when I was 19 I did same things as Justin or any other North American teenager. Wear your pants low (to seem cool), say stupid things (you believe you are the master of your own Life and always right), party, and etc. let him enjoy or he will get the Michael Jackson syndrome.

lol man. Grandma is worried about her money making machine. Did he treat his own son (Justin's dad) with the same leniency? I highly doubt that. Ah the baloney. Money commands respect today, and not behavior.
