Meeting with Olson: Pakistan committed to Afghan peace, says PM Nawaz

He also shared the outcome of his adviser Sartaj Aziz’s recent trip to Kabul.

Pakistan desires a strong, cooperative relationship with the United States and will support any initiative for peace in Afghanistan, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif told US ambassador to Pakistan Richard Olson on Friday.


In his meeting with the US envoy, held ahead of US Secretary of State John Kerry’s visit to Pakistan, the premier reiterated his government’s commitment to all initiatives designed for promoting peace in Afghanistan.

He also shared the outcome of his adviser Sartaj Aziz’s recent trip to Kabul.

The prime minister also told Ambassador Olson that he looked forward to receiving Secretary Kerry, read a statement from the Prime Minister House.
