Supreme court ruling: 13 SHOs removed from posts

The officers have been ordered to report at the police headquarters.

HYDERABAD: The city’s SSP has removed the SHOs of 13 police stations in the district posted in violation of the Supreme Court ruling against posting officers in their hometown. The officers have been ordered to report at the police headquarters from where the office of DIG Hyderabad division will re-post them in other districts of the division.

Why should the court decide where to post police officers. Its a policy matter and should not be in the domain of the courts.
