Lawlessness: Citizens protest against police

The protesters complains that robbers in police uniforms set up pickets and rob citizens.

SARGODHA: Scores of citizens protested against the police’s alleged failure to control crime in the city. The protesters gathered in front of the regional police officer’s office. When Karana Station House Officer Muhammad Nawaz Lali and Bhagtanwala SHO Mukhtar Bhatti visited the scene, protesters surrounded them and shouted slogans against the police. The protesters said that robbers in police uniforms were setting up pickets and robbing citizens. They accused police of supporting the robbers. They dispersed when the two SHOs assured them that action would be taken on their complaint.
