During the discussion, the minister stated Iran was a close neighbouring country which had ideal religious and cultural relations with Pakistan. Khan added Iran had always supported Pakistan in hard times and extended full assistance for which the government and the people were much grateful.
Derwaish reciprocated the sentiments of the minister and stated existing ties between both countries would further strengthen with each passing day. He said Iran was giving much importance to development in Pakistan, especially Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, and had signed many memorandums of understanding with the province in this regard. He added all those memos needed to be implemented practically.
Derwaish said Iran would continue its support and assistance to the K-P government and would extend practical assistance in welfare programmes. He also expressed gratitude to the minister for local bodies and invited him to visit Iran.
