PANGRIO: Vital project of the Nagarparkar dam is in the doldrums. The project to construct a small dam in the hilly area of Nagarparkar was initiated jointly by the federal and Sindh governments many years ago. However, this crucial project was soon left abandoned. It is feared that millions of rupees of public exchequer spent on this project would go to waste if the dam is not completed. This small dam, if completed, would store water of rain torrents and use it to irrigate a vast area. It could also be used to generate cheaper electricity.
