Washed Away: 30-foot breach floods nearby houses

SUKKUR: More than a dozen houses were inundated by water following a 30-foot-wide breach in Sharbat Wah, Karimabad Muhalla in Jacobabad on Saturday morning. The affected houses belonged to Muhammad Salah Domki, Bashir Domki and Zameer Talani among others. Sources reported that Sharbat Wah originates from Noor Wah, which in turn originates from Begari Sindh Feeder. Buffaloes bathed in Sharbat Wah due to which its embankments had apparently weakened. No irrigation officials had turned up to plug the breach till the filing of this report.
